Our seasonal flavors are limited runs with only about 15 bottles made each month. Our current lineup is below

The Crying Elephant hot sauces are fermented and bottled in small batches. Our special blend is intense but flavorful, meant to be enjoyed by all levels of heat lovers. Our flagship hot sauces are the Buffalo, Pineapple, and Ginger Miso. They go great with any gilled and fried meat or veg, in soups, on sandwiches, eggs and make a wonderful condiment.  And surprise, they are VEGAN friendly, except for the hot honey, which… has honey.

Why the Crying Elephant? The hot sauce is named after a local northern Thai chili pepper called the Prik Chang Rong พริกช้างร้อง and is made with 5 other locally sourced organic chili pepper verities. The Prik Chang Rong is a pepper that is becoming harder to find. Part of the inspiration for this brand was to help keep this heritage pepper alive and encourage farmers to continue to grow it. According to some farmers, the prik chang rong was given this name because it was used to keep elephants out of their farms as a natural way to prevent damage and safely keep the elephants at bay.
